When I was a child, I used to love getting out into nature and taking a moment for myself. Somewhere in my twenties, I became too busy, and it became “no time for me”. In my thirties, I reinstated the “me time” after realising the importance of it. Now in my forties, I embrace it.
Me time is not an option, it is a necessity to recharge the mind and body daily. Been completely present with yourself. I used to say, I am going to have a bit of much-needed me time. Now it is just a daily habit I look forward to. Sitting by myself, sipping on my cuppa, alone with my thoughts.
Sometimes I notice a slight pain in my knee from cycling, age, and so on. The quiet time is a gentle reminder to listen to one’s body and address any aches or pains. Listen to your body daily.
I feel, during this time, my body and brain communicate to me what’s going on inside me. Been present with myself, recharges me for the rest of the day.
Would love to know your thoughts on what happens during your “me time”.
Have a great weekend.
