Your health and wellbeing should never be an afterthought, it’s the reason you are here today.
Looking after yourself is a priority and a necessity. Without it, you may not be able to achieve your goals in life. The biggest obstacle I observe for employees is “Next week I will have more time”, “This is the last time, I will be working these crazy hours”, “Next month I will have time to take breaks”. Ironically, you meet the same people a year later saying the same. Yes, I was one of those people as well, so I totally get it.
It is only when something happens, a warning of health, a reality of ill health, that many then decide to make changes. Imagine starting today, minding your health and wellbeing to the point, you jump out of bed in the morning full of energy. Feeling well is not only keeping you healthy, but helping you reach all your own goals.
Get the health check, take the breaks, look after yourself. Your body talks to you every single second of every single day, so listen. If something doesn’t feel right, be it physical, mental, or emotional, take steps to get it sorted. Don’t wait.
